Car valeting Stratford-upon-Avon
A proper hand car wash and valet that's safe for your paint – not a quick brush-and-go. Regular upkeep from £25 or a deeper clean inside and out from £50, at our studio on Birmingham Road, Stratford-upon-Avon.
A car wash that looks after the paint
Car valeting in Stratford-upon-Avon at WK Detailing starts with a safe hand wash. Automatic brushes and rushed sponge washes drag grit across the paint, and that's where most swirl marks come from. We pre-wash to loosen the dirt first, then hand wash and dry carefully, so your car comes out cleaner without picking up new marks.
Valeting is ideal for keeping a car in good condition week to week or month to month. It isn't about correcting the paint – that's what our paint correction service is for – it's about getting the car genuinely clean, inside and out, and keeping it that way.
Mini Detail – regular upkeep
From £25 small, from £30 medium, from £35 large. The Mini Detail is our straightforward valet for cars that are looked after regularly:
- Exterior hand wash and wax
- Wheel faces cleaned and tyres dressed
- Door shuts cleaned
- Interior vacuumed
Deep Detail – a proper clean inside and out
From £50 small, from £55 medium, from £60 large. When the car needs more than a wash, the Deep Detail goes further:
- Everything in the Mini Detail
- Wheels deep cleaned, including the barrels
- Light clay bar treatment to smooth the paint
- Interior steam clean and deep upholstery and carpet vacuum
- Glass polished inside and out, tyres and trims dressed
Light machine polish and fabric protection can be added as upgrades. Add-ons such as an engine bay detail (from £20) or pet hair removal (from £10) can be booked with either package.
Vans and fleet vehicles
We valet vans, pick-ups and company vehicles as well as private cars. That includes muddy work vans, cabs that need a proper interior clean, and removing old signage and adhesive residue when vehicles change hands or get rebranded. If you run a few vehicles for your business, get in touch and we'll put together a quote that fits how often they need doing.
How our hand car wash works
Every valet follows the same careful order. First, a snow foam pre-wash softens road film and grit so most of it rinses away before anything touches the paint. Wheels and tyres are cleaned with separate brushes and mitts, so brake dust never ends up on the bodywork. The car is then hand washed from the top down using the two-bucket method, which keeps the dirt you've just removed out of the wash mitt.
Drying is where many car washes cause damage. We dry with soft, plush microfibre towels rather than chamois leathers or rubber blades, and finish door shuts, mirrors and trims so there are no drips or streaks when you drive away. On the Mini and Deep Detail, a layer of wax finishes the job and adds a little protection and shine.
How often should you valet your car?
For most daily drivers, a wash every two to four weeks keeps dirt from bonding to the paint and stops the interior getting on top of you. A Deep Detail every few months takes care of the things a regular wash doesn't reach – wheel barrels, bonded contamination on the paint and a proper interior steam clean. In winter, when roads are salted, washing more often helps protect wheels and underbody trims.
Valeting vs detailing
A valet cleans. A detail restores. If your paint is dull or swirled, or the interior needs shampooing, a Full or Beast Detail or a dedicated interior detail will get a better result. We're happy to take a look and recommend the right option.

Common
questions
How much is a car valet in Stratford-upon-Avon?
Our Mini Detail starts from £25 for a small car, from £30 medium and from £35 large. The Deep Detail, with wheel barrels, clay bar, interior steam clean and glass inside and out, starts from £50, from £55 and from £60. The final price depends on vehicle size and condition.
Is a hand car wash better than an automatic car wash?
For your paint, yes. Automatic brushes and rushed washes rub grit into the clear coat and cause swirl marks. A careful hand wash with a pre-wash stage lifts the dirt first and keeps the paint looking better for longer.
Do you valet vans and company vehicles?
Yes – we valet vans, pick-ups and fleet vehicles as well as private cars, including removing old signage and adhesive residue. Get in touch with the number of vehicles and we'll quote accordingly.
Do I need to book a car wash in advance?
Yes, please book ahead by phone, WhatsApp or the contact form so we can give your car the time it needs at the studio.
What's the difference between valeting and detailing?
Valeting is a thorough clean to keep your car tidy. Detailing goes further with decontamination, machine polishing and protection to restore the finish rather than just clean it.
